freehand scraps september kit sneaks

another lovely kit from freehand scraps debuts tomorrow night - here are some sneaks. such a fun kit. i just love orange and this kit doesn't disappoint! i printed the title on a journal spot on the layout below.

even used some flocking, a first for me. so easy it's just like glitter except you have to press a bit. the letters in the one title below use the doodlebug sticky letters and flock. i also made a flocked white border (above) on the grey paper using tacky tape - it's subtle but i really love the way it looks.

added a little stitched detail below and that black and white border above is actually packaging!

love me some buttons and what is better than adding a little bling?

last but not least i had some fun with the embellishments in the kit and a really LARGE photo!

how about a free font editor that you use online to produce true type fonts? sounds cool doesn't it?

luggage tags

these free downloadable luggage tags are so graphic and fun. i think that the first set there on the left could easily be incorporated into a page. maybe paired with the new american crafts travel papers and embellishments?

kenner road

kerry lynn yeary has started a kit club called kenner road and it promise to be filled with vintage goodies and unusual combinations of scrapping loveliness. i blew it and didn't get the subscription information up here in a timely fashion so you are out of luck for september. i'm sure she'll take you for october though!

i've been asked to guest design for a benefit online class. fun stuff! This class is a great way to get 7 layouts done in two weeks. check it out - past classes have been a blast.

• embroidery pattern - this is more about the fact that you can really use any images and embroider on your pages. this is something i'd like to try!

has anyone else noticed a resurgence of vellum? i'm noticing it all over the scrapbook gallery sites lately. ki memories is coming out with those semi-sheer papers too - somewhat like vellum. thinking i might need to break some out soon!
