pioneer woman actions for PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS

the pioneer woman released her famous actions today for use with photoshop elements. thoguht i'd pass that along. her actions are really very good and best of all they are free. be sure to check it out!
i saw these images on paper crave the other day and thought how inspiring. each in there own way. the top photo uses vintage papers and look at the little houses around the top - charming! love the newspaper nest and the second mobile is just stunning! the envelopes would make great receipt holders or an advent calendar. i'm so trying the sewn circles on that invitiation as well.

paper flower tutorial and new scrappy goods

i've been intrigued with paper flowers these past few months - all these great tutorials and seeing them on layouts and cards. i think i ought to buy some punches or start putting my silhouette to better use! there are so many flower dingbat fonts out there just waiting to be cut. :) i should also let go of not suing them on my boy's pages - it's a hangup of mine - i know my little guy doesn't mind! i should have a couple flower tutorials up in a couple of spots over the next few weeks i'll be sure to link you up.

oh the new scrappy goods are putting a hole in my pocket!  just last night i found the new girl's paperie on holiday paper and while putting it in my cart i couldn't resist picking up a few goodies that are in the add-on kits that studio calico sneaked the other day. also, added some jillibean green corrugated alphas (i should have picked up the white too!) and the 7 gypsies avignon paper (i need to find the diagram paper as it was out of stock!) now i should start scrapping again. i haven't scrapped since the conclusion of the great february contest. all these new goodies - i should get crack-a-lackin!

and my slice sold! which is marvelous - so glad someone else is going to get some use out of it. it was just sitting there collecting dust!

Monday, March 01, 2010

for those of you that wanted to see more....

i uploaded some cards and layouts to a flickr set. remember i wasn't going to share these - these are the type of pages i make at a crop - quick, easy, get the story down.

the cards are simple and flat so that they don't cost more to mail and make it to the recipient.

also two pages from the mini so you can see how i put it together.

sorry for the scans - some of them are not so good but it's night time and well the photographs aren't much better! those buttons and embellies are not scan friendly and the cards look all flat and boring! tfl!

use google maps to create these cool mapvelopes!

i made 11 more cards last night just to get to 250!  doris ended up with 100 and paula with 200. we rocked it ladies!
