it’s
the new year, and the photos are piling up on your hard drive or your
scrap desk. But you’re not really feeling the love. you’re a bit
burnt-out and tired…
or
you’re raring to go, but making
scrapbooking a priority has fallen by the wayside as you tackle “life:” work, home, kids, friends… when are you going to get time to scrap?
or
you’re a new scrapbooker and are still trying to find your sea legs in this crazy, seemingly all-consuming hobby.
if any of those sound like you, then layout a day might be right up your street.
in her effervescent and down-to-earth style, lain invites you to spend February with her in LOAD 212,
creating 29 layouts in 29 days (it’s leap year!). each day brings a new
page prompt, layout example, and video to help inspire you. LOAD 212’s theme is past perfect,
and participants will be mining recent (or ancient!) history for unique
story-telling opportunities that share a little bit of themselves on
their scrapbook pages. with a private flickr gallery and message board,
scrappers share inspiration and motivation with sister LOADsters in a safe and friendly internet community. to register or see what past participants have said about LOAD, visit the class information page at http://www.layoutaday.com/ 212pp
BUT WAIT there is MORE!
i have a seat to giveaway in the class! i registered yesterday so you would be joining me on this adventure. my plan is to get a little more recent history done. i have some straggler stories in my january - june 2011 photo files that need telling. so i'm going to try and work on those for the month.
leave a comment below about what you would work on and i'll pick a winner on saturday morning!
I have straggler stories for years. So many ideas in my head, but I just don't sit down to document them. And I fear that it will all be lost if I just don't do it. And soon.
ReplyDeleteI have done LOAD in the past and it's a great class just for the fact that you end up with an album of lsyouts!
ReplyDeleteI have so many straggler stories! Good for you for being so productive!
ReplyDeleteI would work on those stories and pictures from my childhood. I turn 60 in February and don't want my kids will be left with a box of unidentified photos in the future.

Sweet deal! There's so much rattling around in my memory bank, a dump would be in order!
ReplyDeleteI need to empty a box full of non-digi photos and this would be perfect for it! Thank you for the chance!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, I've got years of photos to work on, but I'll start with what I currently have on my camera...only like +1000 images! :D Thanks for the chance, I can definitely use LOAD and Lain's sense of humor to get me in a scrapping frenzy!
ReplyDeleteI plan to work on my pics from last years's holidays. I've done the thoughtful PBS. Now I need to finish my event spreads.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a seat in this class! I would work on completing the unfinished projects I have laying around!
ReplyDeletewhat a great idea for a giveaway! wedding stories, eagle scout stories - just have to organize and focus!!
ReplyDeleteI think I'd work on photos from the latter part of last year. What with our move and a couple trips I didn't get much scrapping done!
ReplyDeleteI have so many photos to scrap! I think I would use this class to document the photos and stories from the last year (new house, new town, new discoveries) before they escape my memory. :) Thanks for the chance to win a spot!

I would love to do LOAD! I would like to work on some 2011 pages. I don't have too many done and would like to get more done.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many stories I'd like to scrap but just haven't found the time to do it. Not sure I could keep up with LOAD but I'd love to try. Thanks for a chance to win.

I need an incentive to get my projects done and this would be it!
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to work on is getting my pages completed for my 3 grandsons. Each of them have amazing talents and I want to document their story.
My 5 yr old daughter never got to meet my mother before she passed. If I could do some layouts to really tell my mother's story and get those pictures printed out for her it would mean so much for both of us :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway Celeste!
ReplyDeleteI would love to work on family history
ReplyDeleteWell I have photos, paper, and embellishments... I just need a kick in the butt and point in the right direction to get it done.

I would work on my son's childhood photos. I'd like to make 8x8 books for both of them.
ReplyDeleteI am very new to scrapbooking, I have not done very much as yet, I am learning still and find some of it very hard, but as I say "practise makes perfect" so I am doing just that.
ReplyDeleteI would work on my baby girl's scrapbook before she gets too old!
ReplyDeleteI would work on celebrations: birthdays, religious events, weddings, and anniversaries. I'm very behind on those (well, and other things as well).
ReplyDeleteI have some pictures from last year that have been sitting on the file cabinet and need to be completed so this would work great!
ReplyDeleteI joined in on Lain's first LOAD at BPS waaaaaay back when. I did more in that month than I have done in the years since then. Maybe this is the kick in the pants I need to get going!
